After a car accident significantly changed my life, I began looking for ways to feed my soul. I quickly reconnected with my love of reading, but couldn't quite get on board with writing again.
I had already been trying to relearn how to walk, how to take care of myself, and how to live my life again. Trying to write a book just seemed like yet another huge mountain to climb.
With each new book I read, the harder and harder it got to talk myself out of trying. Slowly, I started researching, following other people who were on the journey of writing their first book, and brainstorming ideas.
Then, I noticed a pattern.
The documenting accounts turned into tips accounts. There was no messy middle. No wins. No losses. No headaches. No late-night crash outs. No lessons learned in real time.
The thing is, learning how to write a book is easy. The hard part is choosing to continue writing through the self-doubt, the fear, the frustration and celebrating that journey for what it is.
Through this process, I hope to create a safe space for others who want to write a book, and by hopefully seeing others doing it, doing it poorly, and doing it anyways, at least one person leaves inspired to take the first step toward their dreams, ready or not.
